Consistent with its mission statement and the goals of AAPdN and in creating a more just society, the AAPdN through its Board of Directors has elected to take a position against the teen-aged death penalty. The Board passed the resolution posted here unanimously on September 25, 2020. Many thanks to our Fellows of the Academy, Drs. McCaffrey and Reynolds, for their commitment to this influential project. Here is the resolution in its entirety.

Dear Members of the Academy,
On behalf of the Board of Directors for AAPdN, I wish you a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year! As the new year starts, please be certain to calendar yourself to attend our annual conference, April 22-25, 2021. The conference will be a video conference, like the one all of you (400+ attendees) enjoyed.
As your Board, we look forward to serving our vibrant and growing community of pediatric neuropsychologists. If you are not already a member, please do consider joining us. Your membership provides you with our journal, discount to our conference, as well as joining the community of members nation-wide. For those inclined to do so, we heartily encourage you to consider the Board Certification process. To our members we remind you to renew your dues if you haven’t already done so.
I’ve mentioned the Board several times and realized many of you may not know the configuration of Board Members serving you.

Two Board members merit signaling out for extraordinary service to the Academy. Now serving as Immediate Past-President is Grace Mucci, Ph.D. and President-Elect Patricia Mittelstadt, Ph.D. Drs. Mucci and Mittelstadt provided an abundance of time and commitment to AAPdN over the last two years. As a result, we are well organized, up to date on those dreaded taxes, and current with budget and accounts. Dr. Mucci and her team have updated membership functions to make joining AAPdN a smooth process. And, we have a video-conference team to keep the conference flowing seamlessly.
Much thanks to Drs. Mucci and Mittelstadt.
Please keep healthy, wear the mask, and vaccinate when you can.
Bob
