Categories of Membership

Fellows

“Fellows” of the American Academy of Pediatric Neuropsychology are Diplomates of ABPdN who attained their Board Certification/Diplomate status via Board examination. Fellows are voting members of the Academy, are entitled to one vote, and must be in good standing at the time of the vote. Fellows are also entitled to all benefits of membership and pay annual dues to the association of $250.00. 

Professional

“Professional Members” of the American Academy of Pediatric Neuropsychology are individuals who are licensed or certified (master's level or above) providers of mental health services and allied professions to children and adolescents. Members are not board members with ABPdN nor are they voting members of the Academy, but they desire to be affiliated with the organization and are entitled to all benefits of membership, may serve on committees, and pay annual dues to the association of $75.00. 

Student

“Student Members” of the American Academy of Pediatric Neuropsychology are individuals who are currently enrolled in academic programs leading to a degree from a regionally accredited university or college at the undergraduate, graduate, internship, or post-doctoral level. Student members are not voting members of the Academy and may not hold office; however, they may serve on Academy committees and are entitled to all benefits of membership. Student members pay annual dues of $20.00. 

Emeritus

"Emeritus" status pertains to members of the academy who are retired from clinical and/or academic practice. Fellows or members in good standing may apply for emeritus status to the executive director by written request. Emeritus members do not pay association dues, may serve on committees, and are entitled to all benefits of membership. Emeritus Fellows retain their voting rights. 

Honorary

“Honorary Members” of the American Academy of Pediatric Neuropsychology are professionals in the field of child mental health services or other relevant professional careers who have distinguished themselves by publications, research, and/or service to the field and are recognized as national and international leaders. Honorary members do not pay association dues, are not voting members but may serve on committees, and are entitled to all benefits of membership.
