Technology & Marketing Committee

Helping pediatric neuropsychologists understand, evaluate, and ethically integrate technology into research, clinical practice, education, and professional communication.

Mission Statement

The AAPdN Technology & Marketing Committee supports the Academy’s efforts to help pediatric neuropsychologists thoughtfully understand, evaluate, and use technology in ways that advance clinical care, education, research, professional communication, and public outreach.

The committee is especially interested in the ethical and practical use of emerging tools, including artificial intelligence, digital assessment platforms, report-writing technologies, practice management systems, telehealth tools, data security resources, and technologies that help translate neuropsychological findings into everyday life.

This page is intended to serve as a growing resource hub for AAPdN members, clinicians, trainees, researchers, educators, and others interested in the role of technology in pediatric neuropsychology.

A Shout-Out to the GIC

The Global Intern Collaborative (GIC)

The Global Intern Collaborative (GIC) is a multidisciplinary network of highly skilled and carefully trained interns from universities around the world. GIC interns include undergraduate and graduate students with backgrounds in clinical psychology, neuropsychology, marketing, art and design, business, computer science, healthcare administration, communications, research, digital media, and related fields.

Facilitated by International Business professor and entrepreneur James A. Mucci, the GIC supports organizations by connecting motivated students with meaningful project-based learning opportunities. The Collaborative is grounded in values of reliability, responsiveness, service to the community, equality among interns, initiative, self-directed learning, ownership of project outcomes, and a commitment to advancing the mission of the organizations it serves.

Within AAPdN, the GIC provides valuable behind-the-scenes support for educational programming, committee initiatives, membership engagement, and technology-related projects. GIC interns assist with virtual workshops, hybrid events, podcasts, newsletters, journal clubs, digital media production, website updates, technical support, marketing, research-related projects, nonprofit administration, and other initiatives that help AAPdN expand its reach and strengthen its service to the pediatric neuropsychology community.

Through this collaboration, interns gain hands-on experience contributing to a national professional organization, while AAPdN benefits from the energy, creativity, technical skills, and interdisciplinary perspectives of emerging professionals from around the world.
