Bio
I am currently an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior, the director of the UC Irvine Neurodevelopmental and Behavioral Clinic, and the clinical liason between UC Irvine and the Regional Center of Orange County. I provide neuropsychological assessments and consultation for the cognitive and behavioral effects of neurological, neurodevelopmental, and psychiatric disorders including ADHD, Autism, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, seizure disorders, mood disorders, and anxiety. In addition to my clinical responsibilities, I am involved in several research projects aimed at improving cognition in children with Autism or Down syndrome, teach seminars in statistics and neuropsychology, and supervise neuropsychology practicum students and child & adolescent psychiatry fellows.



I received my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology in 2002 from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, after receiving my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Michigan and my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UCLA. I completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Orange County in Health Psychology, and two half-time APA-accredited internships – one at the University of Michigan Counseling and Psychological Services, the other at the University of Michigan Center for the Child and Family.


My publications and presentations include the following topics: Applied Behavior Analysis, learning disabilities, multisensory treatment for children with autism, risk factors associated with autism, the self-concept of children with Down syndrome, medication adherence, and the side effects of psychotropic medications among individuals with developmental disabilities.
