Bio
Dr. Wasserman, a pediatric Neuropsychologist, licensed in the State of Florida, completed his doctorate at Hofstra University in 1974. His combined degree was in School/Clinical Psychology, coupled with a one-year internship in pediatric neuropsychology at North Shore University Medical Center in Manhasset, Long Island, NY. His post-doctoral training was completed in cognitive behavior therapy at the Institute for Advanced Study of Rational Psychotherapy in New York City.

• Dr Wasserman is currently The Associate Dean at the Institute for Achievement and Learning at Lynn University where he is responsible for directing the activities of The Heller Diagnostic Center. The activities include development the Institute Fellows Program and conducting empirical reviews and validation studies of the Institute's activities.

• He is a founding member and past president of AAPdN, and is also the founder and organizer of the World Conference of Pediatric Neuropsychology.

• In his current practice, Dr. Wasserman sees children from the ages of 0-18, with a full range of medical and developmental anomalies. He is particularly interested in attentional and learning disorders and their impact on school function, Autism, Asperger's Disorder, atypical developmental delays, seizures, and traumatic brain injury. He is regularly retained and appointed in both civil matters, providing expertise to the court to help in determining the extent or existence of neurological and psychological impairment in forensic matters.

• Dr. Wasserman was formerly the section chief of Psychology at St. Mary's Medical Center, Nicklaus Children's Hospital in West Palm Beach, Florida, and the Psychology Chief of the Head And Spinal Cord Injury Program at St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida.

• He is regularly retained and appointed in both civil matters, providing expertise to the court to help in determining the extent or existence of neurological and psychological impairment in forensic matters.

• Dr. Wasserman has contributed chapters to various books on Autism, Child Custody Issues and School Psychological Practice, and has published numerous published papers on subject children's attention, language and executive function, behavior management and cognitive behavior therapy. His most recent publication, "Motivation, Effort, and the Neural Network Model" was published by Springer in 2020.

• He has served on the faculty at the Hofstra University, and has also given invited lectures or provided consultations regarding pediatric neuropsychology throughout the US and internationally.

• Dr. Wasserman is a member of the National Academy of Neuropsychology, the International Neuropsychological Society and the American Psychological Association
