COVID-19 in Children and Adolescents: A Review of the Journal of Pediatric Neuropsychology Special Issue - Grace Mucci, Ph.D., Ailyn Diaz, M.D., Rachel Pearson, M.D., & Eric Pierson, Ph.D. 1 CE This workshop will provide a review of the JPNP Special Issue on COVID-19 in children and adolescents. Topics covered will include the neuropsychological and neurological implications of COVID-19 infection in youth, the mental health and educational effects of the pandemic, and ethnic and racial disparities. Level of Activity: Intermediate Objectives: Discuss the neuropsychological effects of COVID-19 infection in youth. Review the neurological and neuroradiological aspects of COVID-19 infection in children and adolescents. Compare the ethnic and racial disparities inherent in the COVID-19 medical care. Analyze the complex mental health and educational implications of the pandemic on youth.
