Her practice specializes in the assessment and support of youth with developmental disabilities, learning differences, and co-occurring conditions. She has particular expertise in evaluating dyslexia and other learning disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and behavioral and emotional disorders. Dr. Petouvis is known for providing compassionate neuropsychological evaluations grounded in best-practices for families and schools. With over a decade in private practice, she produces reports that are clinically meaningful, child-centered, and legally sound—integrating her knowledge of educational systems and law to support effective advocacy and intervention.
Dr. Petouvis has worked with children and adolescents for nearly 20 years in various roles. Her early career as a school psychologist sparked a deep interest in assessment and a commitment to addressing the challenges within the educational system. This led her to pursue specialized training in pediatric neuropsychology during her pre- and post-doctoral internships, while continuing to work in school settings. She later completed a year-long post-graduate program in school neuropsychology under the supervision of an Academy Fellow, ultimately earning board certifications in both school neuropsychology and pediatric neuropsychology.
Dr. Petouvis earned her Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) and Master of Arts degrees in School Psychology in 2013 and 2007, respectively. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Lafayette College in 2006, where she completed a dual major in Psychology and a self-designed interdisciplinary major in Religion & Women’s Studies—an academic foundation that continues to underpin her dedication to inclusive values in neuropsychology.
She serves as a peer reviewer for the Journal of Pediatric Neuropsychology and is an active member of the American Psychological Association, including Divisions 40 (Society for Clinical Neuropsychology) and 42 (Psychologists in Independent Practice).
